Leah Boresow has been dancing all of her life, starting early on at a young age in Atlanta, Georgia. As a teenager, Leah trained at the Atlanta Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Dance from Indiana University (IU), where she also studied and choreographed contemporary and modern dance. It was during this time at IU that Leah began training in ballroom dancing, joining the IU Ballroom Dance Team for 3 years. Leah also spent a year living in Jerusalem, Israel from 2010-2011, studying dance at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, as part of the inaugural year of DanceJerusalem. From 2012-2013, Leah was company manager for gloATL, contemporary dance company in Atlanta, GA, where she also had the opportunity to dance amongst artists like Lauri Stallings and Zoe Scoefield. Leah has spent the past year continuing her ballroom training with former professional Rafael Avanzini. In addition to performing, Leah has also competed in Professional/Amateur Latin ballroom competitions, winning 1st place at the Atlanta Dance Classic Open Rhythm Championship in October, 2013. Since then, Leah has returned to Israel to pursue a dance career and teaching career. She currently lives in Tel Aviv, and is very excited to share her love for dance with Israel!
