Vanessa Rubin, one of the great voices of American jazz, comes to Israel with a powerful and exciting performance. Don’t miss an evening of live music, deep soul, and an unforgettable voice!

Vanessa Rubin serves us the soul of jazz and blues with her clear and resonant voice. She is one of the great voices of American jazz, and is coming to Israel with a powerful and exciting show.

In the center of the stage stands a singer who is much more than just a voice – she tells stories, conveys emotion and experience through every note. With her deep and warm voice, Rubin combines touching performances of blues, swing and Bossa Nova songs, with tributes to the greats like Billie Holiday, alongside current interpretations of the classics of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers and others.

With a rich career that includes award-winning recordings, international festival appearances and worldwide tours – Lady V (as Vanessa Rubin is known) brings America’s heart to center stage.

During her career she has recorded nine albums and won accolades and awards, including a nomination for the NAACP Award for her Tadd Dameron tribute album.

One of the most exciting moments of her career was her role as Billie Holiday in the musical ‘Yesterdays’ which earned her a nomination for the Kevin Kline Award for Best Actress.

Rubin continues to perform in jazz clubs and festivals around the world, combining educational activity, writing, producing and managing jazz series such as Sundown Jazz @ V’s Place in Cleveland.
