In this special show, we pay tribute to two jazz legends – renowned saxophonist Cannonball Adderley and the pianist Horace Silver.

Cannonball Adderley, the ultimate saxophonist, left an indelible mark on the jazz landscape of the 1950s and 1960s. His soulful blues playing and compositions have captivated audiences around the world. From his iconic hit ‘Mercy, Mercy, Mercy’ to his collaborations with the Jazz Messengers, Cannonball’s legacy continues to resonate.

Horace Silver, the master of hard bop, charmed listeners with his catchy melodies and dissonant harmonies. His piano artistry combined humor, rhythm and soul, creating timeless classics such as ‘Doodlin’ and ‘Song for My Father’. Silver’s influence on other musicians and his role in shaping jazz history are immeasurable.
