The Divas of Paris & New York – from Edith Piaf to Billie Holiday July 12th – 19th, 2025

Tatiana Eva-Marie (New York) & The Dean Tsur Quintet

In this fascinating concert, we will combine the legendary voices of Edith Piaf and Billie Holiday, which will be brought to life by the mesmerizing vocals of singer Tatiana Eva-Marie.

Edith Piaf, the “little sparrow” of the French chanson, left an indelible mark on music history. Her emotion, poignant words and unwavering passion for love continue to resonate through generations. From the iconic ‘La Vie en Rose’ to the haunting ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien’, Piaf’s songs evoke love, loss and the human experience.

Billie Holiday, the incomparable jazz singer, poured her heart into every note. Her voice, like “midnight smoke”, told stories of pain, resilience and longing. Classics like ‘Strange Fruit’ and ‘God Bless the Child’ remain timeless, etching their name in the annals of jazz history.

Nicknamed the Gypsy-jazz Warbler by the New York Times, Tatiana Eva-Marie is a transatlantic bandleader, singer, author, and actress. She plays music derived from the Django tradition with Gypsy and French jazz influences.

Accruing over 80 million views on YouTube, Tatiana Eva-Marie was acclaimed as a millennial shaking up the jazz scene by magazine Vanity Fair. She performs regularly in New York at various clubs (Blue Note, Dizzy’s, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Birdland, Joe’s Pub…), across the USA (New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Freight and Salvage, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Tucson Jazz Festival…) and around the world.

Though her interests have led her to explore a wide range of musical styles, Tatiana Eva-Marie’s craft is always inspired by her own French and Balkan heritage; a love for the Parisian art scene era spanning the 1920s to the 60s; a passion for traditional Gypsy songs; a fascination for New Orleans music; and a deep connection to the Great American Songbook.

Do not miss this unforgettable exciting evening!
