Ellen Ten Damme brings us the story of Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich, both of which sang the most famous Cabaret songs.

Marlena was born in Germany to a wealthy family. Edith was born to a poor French family of street performers. Marlena Dietrich acted and sang in theaters and movies, living a glamorous life, but also performing in cabaret clubs. She became famous after preforming in the film The Blue Angel as the singer Lola Lola. Edith Piaf sang in small cafés and cabarets, and reached success only after famous singer Maurice Chevalier heard her singing at one of these cafés.

This is the story of two important artists, who both sang the most iconic cabaret songs in the world! Each in her own language, and unique style, performed by one of the biggest stars of the Netherlands, Ellen Ten Damme.
